Project Background

This enchanted forest cover illustration was commissioned by Magdalen College School who produce a double-bill musical performance. They asked for a poster that evokes an enchanted forest that would also form significant part of their show guide.

The two pieces that are titled Leave it to Puck and Birdland, share the theme of a magical forest where wonderful things happen. Puck needed to be a teenage pixie character and the protagonist of birdland is a sparrow who eventually finds their beautiful voice. The illustrated poster features a custom font.

The show posters and guides were created specifically for the Oxford Playhouse.
