ILLUSTRATION & DESIGN

Brand illustration for historic venue

Client

Kelmscott Manor

Project Background

Kelmscott Manor commissioned me to create brand illustrations for their historic venue, the summer residence of William Morris. The project had several phases and included a site map, with lots of isolated characters to be used on interpretation boards and in their educational programs, historical objects for an interactive game in their brewhouse, the Morris family as they looked in the late 19th century, when they moved into the Manor and an illustration for a projection as well as a village map.

Here is what they had to say about my work:

“The illustrations and site-map that Kati has created for Kelmscott Manor are really very successful and everyone associated with the National Lottery Heritage Fund project was equally impressed with their clarity and the way in which the drawings of the Morris family members, birds and other characters work so well with the typography. She has made a delightful contribution to the Interpretation of the Manor and its outbuildings.”
